Trekking INDIA / HIMALAYA
A gorgeous intermediate level trek in the lower Himalayas taking you from Parvati Valley to Kullu valley
Disputably, the oldest democracy in the world,a village claiming its lineage to the Macedonian army of Alexander, the fabled village of Malana nestles in the lap of the gorgeous Parvati valley in Himachal Pradesh.
Chandrakhani pass became even more famous because as per legend, Jamlu (the presiding deity at Malana)opened a basket containing the gods of Kullu at the pass and the strong winds blew the gods and scattered them to their present abodes. Quite a trippy reason to do this trek already!
Chandrakhani Pass, at an altitude of 3660 mts connects the Kullu valley to the Parvati valley . This trek is a great introduction to the remote cultures of Himachal Pradesh, The scenic beauty of the Kullu valley, and the mountain peaks that dot that horizon is a treat for the nature lovers
This is a challenging trek, not due to the technical nature of the climb (villagers cross from Malana to Naggar during the course of the day)but due to the steep climbs and the sharp descents. However if paced correctly, the gorgeous vistas and the ever-changing landscape will keep you mesmerised and distracted from the physical toll. Walks through dense forests through well marked trails, panoramic vistas of the mighty Himalayas, high altitude meadows as camp sites, fields of Marijuana- Whatever your trip- there is a little bit for everybody
