The remote regions of Spiti & Kinnaur will enchant you and test your riding skills.

Centuries old monasteries and high altitude villages dot this regions. The roads are challenging and the vistas breathtaking. Several river crossings ensure that every day has an element of drama.

We begin this Royal Enfield motorcycle tour in the gorgeous Banjar Valley in the Indian Himalayas crossing the technically challenging and visually stunning Jalori Jot (Pass) to enter a distinct part of Himachal Pradesh. Tibetan Buddhism with a heady mix of Himalayan shamanism and the harsh remoteness of this region has created a Eco system unlike any other in India. Centuries old monasteries and towns for trading caravans, a geographical location between India and Tibet make the, “Five Valley Trail” one of the most captivating rides both in terms of landscape and in terms of culture. The strength of human endeavor is visually evident as you cross Martian landscapes that suddenly sprout small villages that are more than a few centuries old. The ride into the beautiful Sangla valley with its apple orchards, blending into the apricot groves of Kinnaur. Mount Kinner Kailash, accompanies our journey as we cross into Spiti and its innumerable monasteries. From the spectacular Tabo (ajanta of the Himalayas) to the humble monastery at Dhangkar to the 1000 year old Kee, there are treasures lining our complete circuit.

“The very first ride that Karma Yatri ever did. There were several starting troubles but once the trip got into the flow the memories kept pileing up with every passing KM. The only tour done on the older versions of the Standard 500cc bikes, this set the tone for all future tours ”
Shashank Jaykumar- 2011
